Cycles: Coming in to the New Year

An all-night listening ritual in celebration of the new Roman calendar year. Our studio will be open to visitors from 10:45 pm to sunrise the following morning.

Artist MJ Caselden's resonating electroacoustic sculptures create a meditative listening space. These inventions use varying magnetic fields to induce vibration and soundwaves in metal and wood.
The artwork creates a sonic environment for respite and contemplation, where visitors are encouraged to reflect on intentions for this new year.

We will have a non-denominational altar within the studio; feel free to bring contributions of objects, incense, or any other offerings that celebrate your individuality. Friend and sound practitioner Hiko Konami will also make a sound contribution to the evening.

Guided group sound bath from 10:45 PM to 12:30 AM

Sound installation remains open until closing sunrise at 7:15 AM

If you will need us to provide a mat for the soundbath, please email us at: contact (at) caseldenstudios (dot) com

Indicate number of guests, and whether you will join the sound bath @ 10:45 pm

Guests intending long-term stay or overnight sleep should bring:

  1. water or food as necessary to sustain their visit.
  2. sleeping bags, pillows, or whatever is necessary for comfort.
